Self-care equals self-preservation. Mediation & Relaxation the importance.

In today’s world, everyone rushes around, and people forget about looking after themselves, which includes their mental heal, not just physically, especially when their world alters through marriage/ relationship breakups, job changes, or coping with complex family matters & especially now with the cost-of-living spiralling adds further pressure. Everyone needs to take a step back and take time to adjust to changes within their lives. You can’t expect your body physically & mentally to be able to cope all the time, especially when lots of changes have occurred. When your mind has been affected through stress, or significant upset and changes, your physical self becomes ill and unable to cope, you have physical symptoms, and all that is needed is time out to enable your mind to understand everything and to heal. Your mind needs nurturing and support. You hear so many conflicting approaches on how to ensure you get the perfect work and home life balance, But if you don’t take time out, the mind can become burnt out, and that is when the problems can escalate.

Whatever life throws at you, there’s always a way round to learn from it and ensuring that the next stage of your life is thought through as strategically as possible, your mind will allow you to achieve what you set out to do. However, to do this, you need to know that your mind is clear to set your goals and understand the difference between what is required from each situation.

You will get through all the different situations if you micro-manage them and don’t try and tackle everything all at once; take it a day at a time, even hour by hour if you need to.  It’s a good idea to write a letter to yourself about where you want to be in the next six weeks and then write down how you will get there in micro steps to ensure you know what to do to achieve these and you are not overwhelmed. One of the main things to do is to create a calming area within your home. An excellent habit of getting into is to meditate and journal to clear your head from issues. Each day when the time suits you and you know you’re not going to be disturbed, get a pair of headphones and listen to a guided meditation. After you’ve done the meditation, this is the time to write down how you are feeling and what you will achieve on the next day in doing it this way as your mind is clear and calm. Bottling things up and not addressing problems within your head will lead to further issues.

Because I understand the importance of meditation and how it can help individuals, you can visit my YouTube channel MKB Life Coach and find meditation videos there. These are gradually being added to, and you will find various guided and just visual and calming music. You need to be able to sit and relax, and then your subconscious will then start telling you what is required, and that is why after the meditation, it’s an ideal time to complete your writing and make your list of what you need to do to reach the new you. Remember to write precisely what you need to do, and give yourself a set time to do this, don’t stretch yourself too much so that you won’t be disappointed and remember to but a big tick through it when it’s completed and say WELL DONE TO YOURSELF YOU ARE THAT ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE NEW YOU.
